Most people’s lives will be forgotten in the passing of time, no matter how significant the achievements they made. However, there is a group of people from various fields with different backgrounds and values, who have done some things to change the world and affect our generation a lot. Time Magazine has published Time 100 since 2004, which annually selected the top 100 global titans who have impacted the world a lot. They are separated into five types, pioneers of promoting the era, titans with great achievements, artists with outstanding contributions, leaders of revolutions and icons who are indicative symbols of the era, no matter whether for good or bad. These people who can impact the world must possess something valuable for us to learn. The Theme Exhibition of Library Week in 2016 “Global Titans: Beyond the Impact of Imagination” will be held on both Taipei and Taoyuan campuses on 12/5-16, during which books and related materials about these outstanding people will be available.
