How much do you know about Southeast Asia?
Taiwan is located in the center of the East Asia island arc, which is quite near Southeast Asia. However, many people still cannot image what Southeast Asia is. As Southeast Asia includes many countries, there are a lot of differences in nature landscape, culture and history. Therefore, even though Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei are all Southeast Asia islands, people’s living experiences there are quite different due to the effect of the geographic position and climate. Countries on the Indochina peninsula: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore developed in different ways due to varied political and historic experiences. Maybe you know Southeast Asia from being a friend of new immigrants or migrants; or from the colorful travel information on Southeast Asia. Both Taipei and Taoyuan campus libraries are going to hold Multicultural Theme Exhibition on Southeast Asia from November 14 to 25.
